Becoming Plasmodial

'Becoming Plasmodial' explores the dissolution of biopolitical hierarchy through the entanglement of a dancer and slime mould. Rather than centring the human body, the work examines how hierarchy organises bodies, organisms, and environments, shaping what is seen as controlled, valuable, or legitimate. Slime mould, moving through decentralised adaptive networks, becomes a parallel to the dancer, reflecting forms of intelligence that resist fixed classification. The resulting images propose an alternative biopolitics; a move away from top-down governance toward plasmodial consensus, where order is not imposed but negotiated through the reciprocal flow of life across all scales.
