Adam Dorgham (born 1997) is a British Egyptian photographer based in London, with a background in biology and marketing. His journey into photography was not linear – it was a gradual shift from the structured world of science and strategy into a medium that allows him to explore the intangible, the unseen, and the deeply personal. Currently studying at the Royal College of Art, he uses photography to challenge perception, inviting viewers to look beyond the ordinary and engage with the overlooked.
Adam’s practice looks to provide a rare perspective on the world around us. He challenges conventional methods of communication and artistic licence, and is uniquely placed to use his work as a bridge between complexity and clarity. His background in science and marketing allows him to process and work with complex and deep themes and invite the viewer to explore these in a personal and interesting way.
A lot of Adam’s work centres on using and pushing the boundaries of materials and materiality. His work endeavours to blur the boundary between image and viewer, to create a shared experience that exists beyond the frame.
