Community engagement has played a pivotal role in my work, as I believe art can be a powerful tool for fostering dialogue and driving social change. Communities are vital to this process, serving as both sources of inspiration and catalysts for transformation. The project “We Are Queer” embodies this approach. By working closely with members of the queer community, the project provided a platform for individuals to express their identities and sexuality through art. For participants, creating art became a means to share their stories of coming out and illustrate the struggles they faced. Through this project, I aimed to challenge stereotypes and promote a more inclusive understanding of diverse identities.
